Amendment No. 1: Out-of-State Members of College Boards
Do you support an amendment to allow the governor to appoint a person who resides out-of-state to serve as an at-large member of a public postsecondary education board of supervisors?
Two of the at-large members of the boards overseeing public colleges will be allowed to reside out of state. These members are not required to be alumni of the college they represent but must still be appointed by the Governor with approval from the Senate.
No changes to the constitution. All members of boards overseeing public colleges must be residents of Louisiana.
